September 4 - Route 6 Rendezvous Car and Bike Show in National Oak Park in Alvin. The Car and Bike Show is part of the annual Alvin Hometown Festival which runs Sept 3rd-5th in Alvin. September 18th AND possibly 19th: 2010 Texas All Mopar Show -- Location: A.R.T. 200 Trademark Drive Buda, TX 78610 (just south of Austin near Cabella’s) Open to any MOPAR powered vehicle regardless of the year! Yes, that is right, Classics and Modern Mopar powered vehicles all together in central Texas. Even that blue oval street rod with a Mopar engine is invited! Sept 18th activities start at 11:00 AM: *Live band* Chick Fil A *Dyno runs* Hands on a MOPAR. Huh???!! - So that one takes some explaining. What is the one rule you always have at a car show? - After the show, you can take your selection of several dining locations in the area and re-group at the Cabella’s car gathering around 6:30. We really want to show up in force! September 19th (still in negotiation & pending track maintenance schedules) It's safe to say BRING A HELMET and be ready for a tech-in! October 16 Space City Cruisers Fall Extravaganza Car Show, 4 X 4 Show and Shine, Swap Meet, and Arts and Crafts. 35 Classes Reg. 8 till Noon $25 awards at 3 PM

October 16 -- Join Retro Power Hot Rod Gathering 2010 on October 16, 2010 at the Liberty Municpal Park in Liberty, TX for a gathering of rods, customs, classics and musclecars thru 1972. Registered participants will have a chance to win the Grand Prize Giveaway, a custom built 5-gauge instrument set. Guest judges will be on hand awarding specialty trophies. Participants can also tame their hunger at the BBQ pits, enter to win door prizes from one of our local or national sponsors and listen to some great music. Let the exhaust pipes do singing of their own in the Rompin' and Stompin' Contest and check out some cool products at the vendor booths. To end the event, a cruise will be led through town taking participants to an exact replica of the Liberty Bell. This replica was cast from the original molds and donated by the Woods sisters and dedicated by actor John Wayne. We look forward to seeing you there! November 13 - Cars and Choirs 2010 - First Baptist Church of Brazoria will sponsor the 5th Annual Brazoria Classic Car Show on Saturday, November 13th.  Registration fee is $20.00 and will begin at 8:00 am. Prizes will be awarded in 18 categories and there will also be Best Of Show and Ladies Choice trophies given. Along with the Cars, there will be a special area for Motorcycles plus an indoor Classic American quilt exhibit on display.  The show will be open to the public from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm.  The First Baptist music ministry will provide entertainment throughout the day.  There will be fun for the whole family.  The event will feature a moonwalk and other children's attractions, plus lots of door prizes.  Over 75 classic cars are expected to be on display on the First Baptist parking lots. (Corner of Hwy 36 and F.M. 521)  Come and enjoy a great day with lots of family fun.

Wings and Wheels Saturday every third Saturday at the 1940 Air Terminal Museum at William P. Hobby Airport, 8325 Travelair Rd, Houston, Texas 77061 - (713) 454-1940 Ticket price includes Lunch, Static Aircraft Tours, Special programs in the Starliner Theater, Museum Tours, and admission to the museum. Ticket prices: $10 Adults, $5 Kids (12 and under). Enjoy an afternoon of family fun and help support the 1940 Air Terminal Museum! Cars are displayed in front of original terminal building. There is supposed to be free lunch for car owners. Come and go. 10 AM to 6 PM.


Note to all HMCC members interested in attending out of town shows; some of the club members plan road trips to these shows and develop a convoy to them. If you are interested, please contact the Activity Directors or mention it at the meetings. Also, due to lack of space in the newsletter, we are not able to supply entry forms in the newsletter to each show, but many of the entry forms (supplied by the show host) are available at monthly club meetings.
